Pigeons are Not Generally Water Birds

The story of this picture:

Walking along the Sata Cruz Wharf, heading to one of the restaurants, I noticed that these guys were not particularly shy.
I asked if it would be okay if I took their picture and they graciously agreed.
I thought it rather interesting in that we normally associate pigeons with city centers and parks.
The one on the right is quite at ease while the one on the left is on full alert.

Comments about the picture:

An interesting note, there was a person wading in the shallow water in the background.
I was able to Photoshop him out since I found that distracting.
