The story of this picture:

This seemed to be a gathering of seagulls just hanging out and resting.
There is one "ugly duckling," a pelican who, with his size advantage, took command of the highest roost.

Aside from the beautiful colors, I find it interesting that the birds are in many different modes:
Arriving, departing, resting, landing on an empty post, landing on the water,and, near the top, just passing by.
