The Pulgas Water Temple

Looking up

Linda Swenson caught a photo of the crown

From Left to Right, Our Motley Crew
John Roberts, Charlene Roberts, Dave Lemery,
Linda Swenson, Myron Sabes

There was serious photographer there
with a very serious, large format camera
The cape on his shoudlders is a shroud that he drapes over
his head and the camera to cut the glare so he can  adjust focus
He was nice enough to take our group photograph for us

John is not such a photo buff, but Charlene is.
and he is very supportive.
She talked him into sitting in the lavender,
as Dave and I looked on.
He probably smelled real nice afterwards.
Dave Lemery has a camera that is fitted
to take infra-red photos

Not much to look at in the camera,
but once you get them on the computer,

you can Photoshop some fun and whimsical things
by assigning colors to the infra-red bands

After Pulgas, We headed down to Woodside
for a bite at Buck's Restaurant
It was quite a treat.  None of the others had been there

Buck's is an eclectic place (to say the least)

Memorabilia everywhere you look

The waiter was kind enough to take our group photo

From left to right,
Dave Lemery, John Roberts, Charlene Robers,
Myron Sabes, Linda Swenson
All in all, I think everyone enjoyed our outing
We need to plan more...

Below, these were the directions I posted
to the Pulgas Water Temple in Redwood City

and then stopping afterward at
Buck's Restaurant in Woodside for a snack
The following describes how to get to the Pulgas Water Temple,
where to meet,and then how to get from there to Buck's;
Pulgas Water Temple
is quite easy to find

Head North on 280,
Take Exit -29, Edgewood Rd
and TURN LEFT - West

TURN RIGHT on
Canada Rd and head North
for just under 2 miles

The gate to the Pulgas Parking
Area is on the left.

The parking area is funny shaped
and it is hard to predict how
full it will be

Find any place you can
and we will gather at
the Sign near the parking lot entry

I propose that we meet after Pulgas to reconnoiter
a very interesting place for a snack
Buck's Restaurant in Woodside
Getting to Buck's from Pulgus
is really quite easy.
Just head south, right, on
Canada Rd
Ride for approx. 5 miles to the
Intersection with 84

There is a 4-way stop intersection
with a right turn ramp

Go right turn ramp and immediately
on the right side is a bakery and

Buck's Restaurant
3062 Woodside Rd

Parking can be tight, but
hopefully in the middle
of the afternoon, it will be OK

Buck's is an eclectic place
that has been a landmark
for many decades.

It is terrific fun
and also has good food.

I have not been there for
10 years, so we will have
to see the protocol about
ordering and seating
